CMi4170 LoRaWAN Module(i) Kit

The rapid growth of IoT (“Internet of things”) has resulted in new communication techniques, specifically developed to meet the growing demand of high energy-efficiency and long range. LoRaWAN is one such technique. CMi4170 is mounted inside an Engelmann Sensostar/Sensostar C to deliver meter data to a receiving server via a LoRaWAN network. The product can achieve up to 10+1 years of battery life, is energy-efficient, has a long communication range and is easily retrofitted inside an already deployed meter. CMi4170 is easily configured through Elvaco OTC mobile app (via NFC). With CMi4170, Elvaco offers a meter communication module designed for customers that require a user-friendly and cost-effective solution. In just a few simple steps, the CMi4170 can be mounted in the Engelmann Sensostar/Sensostar C heat meters with little expertise and then put into operation. An easy-to-understand user manual helps with activation and NFC configuration via the Elvaco OTC app. The CMi4170 has two colored status LEDs as well as a push button for switching on, off and rebooting the meter module. The individual setting of the transmission interval in which the meter module communicates with the server also influences the battery life of the CMi4170. In order to achieve the maximum battery life of eleven years, the energy-efficient EcoMode can be used. Another practical feature of the CMi4170 is the configuration lock, which prevents unauthorized access to the meter module and can only be managed by authorized persons via the Elvaco OTC app.
